Weary in Well-Doing?

(not a cat lover?)

I hope you have all had a good weekend.

I wanted to offer a brief word of encouragement as you may be feeling a bit weary, beleaguered both by personal obligations and what seems to be an unending string of horrific headlines.

Maintaining hope under such circumstances can feel like a fight. We know that our resources are insufficient to the task of perseverance in front of us. And while we understand that despair is no viable option, we may not know how to claim victory.

At such times, please do hold fast to this beautiful promise from Isaiah 40:31:

“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”

Let us be in prayer for one another this week and always.
