I am a junior at Liberty University, studying Interdisciplinary Studies with cognates in Global Studies and Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL), and I will be completing my internship in South Asia next semester.
I have a unique opportunity to teach elementary level students as well as help the teachers learn new ways of teaching ESL (English as a Second Language). I will also be attending a language school to learn the native language of the country in which I will be working.
I have been waiting to go on my internship for two and a half years now, and I can hardly believe that I will be leaving in just a couple of months.
I have been reminded time and time again to trust what the Lord is preparing for me as I venture overseas. He has arranged this internship that will allow me to interact with my future students in multiple facets outside of the classroom as well by directing the spring play and teaching a music class using the harmonica, so I may utilize my past experiences and abilities to share with these students. For security precautions, I am not permitted to share the exact location of my internship.
If you would like to know more about what I will be doing, please do not hesitate to contact me personally.
