God Sees You in a Crowd
Mark 10:46-52
God is into personal relationships with His creation. He knows us intimately, personally and down to every detail, and He wants us to know Him that way as well. Psalm 139:13-14 says, “For thou [God] has possessed my inward parts; thou has covered me in my mother’s womb. . . I am fearfully and wonderfully made.”
Jesus one day was walking with a large crowd around him, which was not unusual for the crowd wanted to hear what Jesus had to say and see the miracles that He did. Suddenly, there was a cry from outside the crowd, by the wayside to be exact. Someone was calling Jesus’ name and calling out for mercy. We even know his name – blind Bartimaeus. The crowd told him to hush – Jesus didn’t have time for him.
But, Jesus did have time for him – blind Bartimaeus. “Jesus stood still,” the scriptures tell us. He stopped in His tracks to meet one-on-one with a blind man whom He had never met, but knew intimately. He requested that Bartimaeus be called and the crowd responded by calling Bartimaeus, and Bartimaeus rose and went to Jesus.
Jesus asked him want he wanted from Him. Bartimaeus responded that he wanted to see. He obviously had heard about Jesus and perhaps had heard how Jesus had made mud and put it on another blind man’s eyes and caused him to see. “He could do that for me, too,” he thought! Jesus replied in verse 52: “’Go your way; your faith has made you well.’ And, immediately, he received his sight, and followed Jesus on the way.”
Jesus sees the needs of our follow Christians whom we are trying to help with our crowdfunding site – https://419fund.com. Monies have been raised and distributed, but we need more contributors who are willing to step forward and come along side us as we minister to those in need:
- Philip Zodhiates – legal fees incurred from an unjust criminal conviction for helping a birth mother save her daughter from the LGBTXYZ lifestyle.
- Miethe Family – life-altering auto accident. This dear family is facing high medical expenses and long recovery for the wife. The husband is dealing with the financial burden, running a business, caring for his wife, and caring for their nine children.
- Scriptures for Iran – sending Bibles to Persian-speaking people.
